METAL POWDER RECOVERY SYSTEM
A dust-tight, fully automated 3D-ReKlaimer Metal Powder Recovery System for 3D printing systems recovers and reconditions used
powders to exacting particle sizes, reducing waste and lowering
operating costs while preventing contamination of the product and
The system can reclaim metal powders used in all current additive
manufacturing technologies, including selective laser sintering,
fused deposition modeling, and stereolithography. The unit can accept bottles of used powder connected manually, or is offered with
an integral vacuum conveying system that automatically transfers
used powders from the build chamber into a filter receiver/hopper
located above the screening chamber of the 3D-ReKlaimer system.
Similarly, screened powders ready for reuse can be discharged into
bottles for manual connection to the inlet of 3D printers, or can be
transferred automatically by an integral pneumatic conveyor that
discharges into a filter receiver/hopper located above the 3D printer
inlet. The self-contained, pre-engineered system is ready to connect
and run, and can serve multiple 3D printing stations when equipped
with casters. Automated controls with an HMI simplify operation and
minimize involvement of plant personnel.
IMMERSION SEPARATION VACUUM
Additive manufacturing environments use explosive or impact sensitive materials that may contain an ignition source (such as aluminum, titanium or
zirconium) and other volatile dusts that will benefit from eliminating the risk
of an explosion. The NA26 immersion separation vacuum will provide just
that while ensuring that workspaces are kept clean in the process.
The NA26 collects explosive or glowing media particles entering the vacuum by
immediately mixing them in a turbulent liquid bath, submerging and neutralizing them in the process. The vacuum’s hydrophobic and oleophobic demisting
system will ensure that only clean dry air exits the immersion system. The final
HEPA certified filtration returns clean air to the work environment.
This process stops already contained materials from finding any ignition
source that may be introduced into the vacuum, guaranteeing a safe, explo-sion-proof work environment. The liquid tank is easily removed for emptying
without the use of any tools or heavy lifting, and an integrated site glass provides operators with an external view of the liquid and demisting chamber.
SPECIAL SAW FOR ADDITIVE
An innovative sawing system for additive
manufacturing, the KASTOwin amc, is a
high-performance automatic band saw that
is specially designed for individual offcuts of
components made by additive manufacturing. With its integrated 180-deg. turning device and intelligent control system, this fully
enclosed machine ensures maximum productivity, efficiency, precision, and safety.
The KASTOwin amc is specially designed for
separating additively manufactured components from their base plates. By turning the
parts upside down, wear on the saw blade
is significantly reduced because only small
quantities of chips are drawn through the
cutting channel. The result is an efficient,
precise cutting process with low tool wear
and reliable operation.
The KASTOwin amc has a standard cutting
range of 400 x 400 mm; other ranges are
available on request. The saw has an infinitely adjustable electromechanical downfeed
with servomotor and a frequency-controlled
spur gear mechanism that can achieve cutting speeds of twelve to 150 meters per minute. The torsionally rigid welded structure
with vibration-optimized ribbing ensures quiet operation. Users therefore benefit from
short cutting times and long tool life.
