VERYX family of digital sorters now includes sorters for
green beans. These chute
and belt-fed sorters identify
and remove extraneous vegetable matter (EVM), including
stalks, calyx, stems, and several other types of unwanted vegetable materials often found with harvested green
beans, as well as beans with blemishes and foreign material
(FM) such as sticks, wood, glass, and more. With optional
three-way sorting, VERYX separates beans for rework while
rejecting waste product and FM and passing good beans.

The latest system for additive manufacturing,
the EOS P 500 offers high effciency for lowest
cost-per-part, comes automation ready, and can
process polymer materials, which require operating temperatures of up to 300°C.
The EOS P 500 builds twice as quickly as the
current fastest laser sintering machine thanks
to a dual-laser system fusing the powder, and a
new re-coater. The latter applies a new layer of
powder to the building platform with high speed
(600 mm/s) and maximum adjustability.
In contrast to previous systems, the EOS P 500
preheats polymer material in advance, before it
is applied on the build platform, reducing layer
times. The system can also reuse all recycled
powder for the next build job at higher fll rates,
further increasing the effciency of the system.
Pre-heating of the exchangeable frame and
cool-down of the used exchangeable frame take
place outside of the EOS P 500.
