AIR TECHNICAL INDUSTRIES (ATI)—started business in 1964 as an original
equipment manufacturer of specialty-type material handling equipment. With
all design and manufacturing capabilities in-house, ATI is completely self-suf-
;cient in the production of a broadly diversi;ed line of 2,500 product models.
Standard product lines range from hydraulic scissors li; tables, positioning/up-
ending tables, rotary tables, dock li;s, and maintenance li;s to mobile portable
;oor cranes, jib and straddle gantry cranes, truck cranes, pallet inverters, pow-
ered industrial trucks, and manipulators. In addition to the catalog o;erings,
ATI o;ers product modi;cations as well as custom-designed li;ing solutions.
;e history of Air Technical Industries is built upon a proven track record

A modi;ed Reversible Boom Crane (RBC) built for a NASA contractor
contributed to the production of the International Space Station. ;e RBC has
a 13-; high mast and 19-; boom, reaching 30 ; high over the large module
sections into cramped areas placing panels or other components.
A Triple Tandem Scissors Li; Table made for a college in Georgia has a 42-;
long curved platform and is being used in an orchestra pit in an auditorium. ;e
contour of the platform was designed to perfectly ;t the front edge radius at the
front of the stage.
ATI developed and built the ;rst ever double-girder, ceiling mounted ser-
pentine crane system for the Wildlife Conservation Society’s New York Aquar-
ium. ;e purpose of the crane is to transport sharks in and out of the aquari-
um. ;e custom-designed low-pro;le hoist system is completely ;ush with the
crane track so that only the hook hangs below, providing the maximum head-
room possible in the low ceiling area over the pools.
Air Technical Industries pioneered the original Zero-Low Li; Table. Until
that time, the applications of li; tables required ramps, pits or fork trucks to
load the materials onto the table. ;e Zero-Low Li; has a deck that lowers ;ush
to the ;oor and raises up like a magic carpet. Since its invention, ATI developed
this concept into an entire series of equipment including heavy-duty ranging up
to 50,000 lb., Zero-Low Dock Li;s, li;-andtilt versions, 90-deg. Upenders, and
a very unique 3-Point Entry design.
One of the most unique and specialized products from ATI is the Upender
Inverter. ;is rollover device is a pallet inverter that clamps securely and rotates
180-deg. to turn over even large and cumbersome loads. With capacities from
250 to 10,000 lb. and custom capabilities up to 50,000 lb., even the heaviest
items can be safely inverted. It is quite popular to out;t the Upender Inverter
with conveyor systems and automation packages to provide simple, automated
operation of the rollover process.
New for 2019 is the development of the Tug Master Industrial Transport
System. ;e Tug Master system is a self-contained industrial tug tractor com-
bined with a variety of unique, mobile trailers that form a train to simultane-
ously move multiple containers of material or parts. It o;ers quick, ergonomic,
safe and cost-e;ective movement of products. Trailer designs include a basic
li;-and-carry, high-li; style, ergonomic 90-deg. tilt version, a Zero-Low li;-
and-carry, and a self-loading type that allows the trailer to be used as a tow-
able pallet jack. ;e Tug Master system is the latest in Air Technical Indus-
tries’ commitment to process improvement and productivity.
