IEC Food Safe motors feature smooth stainless-steel enclosures that are

and encapsulated winding enable the motors to last much longer than general
purpose products in tough washdown conditions.
The external surfaces of the motors are self-draining, with no crevices where
particles can collect. The markings are laser etched onto the frame, avoiding
channels and ridges where contaminants could accumulate. The motors can
withstand high-pressure sprays and are fully compatible with clean-in-place
methods. Food Safe motors also eliminate the need for motor shrouds, which
can harbor food particles and allow bacteria to breed.

ZERO BACKLASH HARMONIC GEARS
Lifetime (LT) Series gearboxes are unique in that their zero backlash charac-
teristic is maintained for life and also because they achieve high ratios of 50: 1
to 200: 1 in a single stage, thereby reducing length and weight compared to
traditional planetary designs requiring multiple stages.
The proprietary harmonic cup design allows for a high number of teeth to
be engaged, giving the gearboxes higher torque and inertial loading capacity,
along with zero backlash and repeatability better than 10 arc-sec.
The LT Gearheads feature a precision, double angular contact bearing on the
output shaft allowing for designs with high radial and axial loads. Mounting is
accomplished with a quick connecting motor coupling and adapter flanges can
be modified to meet customer motor specifications.
