SERVO SERIES MAXIMIZES MACHINE PERFORMANCE
MELSERVO-J5 Series of AC servo motors, amplifiers, and motion control
units brings performance, reliability, flexibility, and efficiency to a wide range
of industries, including manufacturing, packaging, printing, converting, mate-
rial handling, and more.
New to the MELSERVO-J5 Series is the quick-tuning function that allows users to quickly and reliably tune their servo mechanism in approximately 0.3seconds. The servo amplifier sets the speed loop gain and suppresses machineresonance through the servo on command. No tuning experience is requiredbecause gain values are automatically generated, reducing machine setuptime and effort. Additional functions and features include an advanced vibration suppression function, multi-axes servo amplifiers, expanded predictivemaintenance capabilities powered by Mitsubishi Electric´s Maisart AI technology, and multi-network capability including compatibility with CC-Link IE TSNand EtherCAT. In addition, MELSERVO-J5 was designed with long-term migration paths in mind, making retrofits and upgrades, both now and in the future,easier and more cost-effective for users.

CABINET-FREE DRIVE SYSTEM
More and more finished goods now have to be modified or created in several different
variations on the manufacturing line to accommodate consumer preferences. This re-
quires much greater flexibility for factory operations and equipment when changing the
product or format on a production line, for example, in a packaging facility.
The cabinet-free electric drive system, IndraDrive Mi, helps manufacturers meet thosechallenges with more flexibility and modularity. IndraDrive Mi eliminates drive electronicsfrom the cabinet and lets machine designers mount a more compact controls enclosuredirectly to the machine—freeing up valuable plant floor space and reducing energy consumption for cabinet coolings—while all the motion modules are programmed in a singlesoftware environment.
MOTORS OFFER POWER-DENSE DESIGN
Above NEMA (ANEMA) NXR 7100 motors offer more HP per pound than conventional TEFC (totally enclosed fan cooled) motors but with a smaller framesize in some power ratings. This helps save space, up to 8 in. in overall lengthin some cases, which enables more compact installations for industrial applications. The NXR 7100 is Class I Div 2 capable, making it ideal for hazardousarea locations.
The NXR motors offer improved cooling, a critical factor to extend the life of
the motor. An internal cooling loop circulates air inside the motor, moving heat
from the rotor to the frame, where an external fan blows air over the frame
to remove the heat.
As the main terminal box and auxiliary box can be mounted in several po-
sitions, installation and maintenance are easy. This also means fewer spares
are needed, which saves money. The rigid frame increases stability so that the
motor can meet NEMA vibration requirements.
NXR 7100 motors extend the power range of the existing NXR 5000 and NXR
5800 up to 1750 Hp while offering the same great features. These motors are
